What exactly do you mean by sharp? ...if I understand you correctly you just need to set your Antialiasing to Good or best. Unless that's not what you mean.

Render

OK I understand now I over look Antialiasing. I'll work on it some more and see what I come up with. So far I like Carrara, I just have to learn the ins and outs of it. Thanks.

Rendering

in addition to the AntiAliasing options you may try setting Object Accuracy and Shadow Accuracy to lower values. Make sure the Renderer is set to Photorealalistic. Also, select your light source and use the Soft Shadow options. You may need to play with the Soft Shadow options to get the effect you want.

If you increase your resolution, your images will be sharper. RDS stands for Ray Dream Studio, the precursor to Carrara when it was at MetaCreations.

RDS ok now I got it thanks Patrick. I know about the resolution, for DAZ you get 72 and thats it. Sucks, but if you just want a wallpaper it maybe nice, but it still sucks. I see C5 has lots of control of the Render Image. Now if I can just pose my mods in C5 I would have it made...

I have found that if you import a Cr2 into Carrara5 and do not add to it, such as morphs, expressions, texture, hair, clothing, etc. it poses quite quickly. But as you add clothes, MATs etc. it slows right down, even to the point where you can't even work with it. So, what I do is import the Cr2, do all of my animating and poses, then add clothing, hair, etc. before I render it.
