Need noise option

Would be nice to add noise to the renderer options in Carrara. This adds a tremendous amount of realism and one of the functions I loved about EI that Carrara lacks.

Hi PP,

Do you have an image that you could post which illustrates this? I am curious to see what you are referring to.

Thanks.

I would have to unarchive some my old stuff. Basically it is a noise function similar to what can be applied in photoslop, gimp and others. I used to use a value of 2-4% that would simulate film grain One of the major benifits is noticed with mjpeg and jpg compressors since you no longer have the banding.
