| Brian ![]() | Carrara6Pro. THEN add MoI, THEN add 3D Brush. Naturally, you would add all the great plugins available for Carrara6 AND at least, have Photoshop CS3 Extended (and all the plugins available for it including the KPT collection) Then, in 10years time, when you think you have a very basic grasp of all those, you think about what to try next!. |

| Spline ![]() | If not comparing to other softwares,..how do I find Carrara 6? It really depends on what Im working on. For scene setups, animation/physics, landscapes, rendering, I still like the simple straight forward UI and controls Carrara has. For modeling, I can't comment in full as I only have the Standard version, but the splines modeling could maybe be improved and the rest of the modeling tools are adequate/basic for my use, or what I experimented with so far. I'd much rather have a dedicated modeler like Hexagon. Im still new to C6, so I haven't read into the UV mapping yet. I also find Carraras workflow OK, maybe a little faster/better than other 3dcg apps I've used in the same category(imho). ![]() |
