| Extrusion ![]() | [Carrara]Installer Problems Is anyone else out there having problems with the Mac Intel installer? The last two updates haven't worked for me. There's no button to switch folders if you have multiple copies of Carrara, and when the installers run the version number doesn't change. This happens on my work computer and my home computer. I don't want to uninstall C5 becuase C6 is still buggy, and it opens up all my old files all messed up, so I'd like to keep C5. But, if I want to uninstall C5 on the mac, what do I have to do besides trash the folder? Do I have to get rid of runtime folders or anything like that? It seems like there must be some hidden files someplace.... -Thank.

| Cube ![]() | ive never used a mac Carl, so im just guessing here...is there maybe a notepad /.dat kinda file that tells the installer where to install to ? If so perhaps you can change it. The c6 windows update .exe file can be extracted to seperate files with winrar or something similar, In side are a few files like setup.ini and setup.inx.....the mac equivelent of these i am trying to explain to you. Still guessing tho....... wheres Ringo when you need him ? |

| Extrusion ![]() | Well, I broke down and deleted all my Carrara folders and reinstalled everything from scratch and that worked. As it turned out, it was installing all the new stuff in the root of my hardrive instead of inside the application folder, for some reason.
