| Extrusion ![]() | That's interesting because I use png's allot for games, except that I use photoshop actions to convert sequenced psd files with transparency to png's with transparencies. So, I tried using the quicktime output with the png compressor and I'm wondering what good is it? It looks like a normal quicktime; the transparency doesn't work when I bring it into Flash and there's no option to do a still or a sequence. ??

| Brian ![]() | I use pngs (with clear backgrounds) regularly into say, blackboards. which, obviously render in the movie form appropriately to my scene.. If making a still in Carrara where I will need a clear background later, I provide a bright blue or green backdrop which, in a moment, I can elimiate in Photoshop. I stick with the H264 compresion in QT. |

| Extrusion ![]() | You know you can turn on alpha channels with psd output, right? That's better than doign a green-screen beecause there's no fringe and no worries about deleting wanted green pixels.

| Brian ![]() | Thanks for that one. At my age you think of the most simple solutions that come to mind--mostly!--they work "adequately" for my simple needs. I have Hexagon and Amapi7.52 but I am now in love with MoI---so much simpler for me! And 3D Brush!---what a joy compared with painting in Hex--or working with Z-Brush! |
