Well. Affuso, you just have to look at what people have created with this program and decide whether their work inspires you or does not. If it does inspire you, then it is a worthwhile purchase. Programs create what you want to create. Not the other way around.

Just look at the C6 comparrison charts compared with C5. If you have faith in C5 you would jump at the obvious improvements in C6--especially Pro. Like the C5.1 updates, C6.02 has shown that the team are on the ball in providing an all round programme which is as good as it gets, competitively, again!

No, not at all, Medeamajic, but the galleries will give you an idea of what can be achieved with a bit of software. The rest is pactice, skill, inspiration and a lot of sweat, as I know you know! As for GUI, the few top-end 3d progs I've had a chance to look at seem quite complicated, so IMO Carrara is a very user-friendly place to practice 3d and produce very good quality illustrations. Brian's right - if Affuso already has C5, then moving to C6 is not expensive and the improvements are worth the extra cash. | |

I Agree. I think Carrara has a good GUI compared to many others. I looked at the Hash Animation galleries and was very impressed. The bad news is that I could not get Hash's Animation Master to do anything. I know AM can do great figure animation in the right hands but It is a very odd program compared to other 3-D programs like C4D, Maya and Carrara.

I don't know why the C6 demo isn't out yet. But as others have said(and not just on this forum), C6 is much better than C5, even if just for the Dynamic Hair/NLA in C6. ![]() I have worked with A:M 9.0 and Shade 8.5 etc, and for the GUI and ease of use, C6 puts them to shame(imho). A:M does have some nice animation/modeling workflows though, but I just couldn't get into it like Carrara. Its all about how the app/tool fits the person I guess. ;) |
