| Texture mapping w/ a movie
Hi. I've been having inconsistent results using movies as texture maps. A while ago I completed a project in which I mapped a QuickTime movie onto a backdrop which played in the background while I animated some 3D type in front of it. I timed the sequence to run for the same duration as the mapped movie so I would be able to loop it later in a video editing application. Everything worked fine and I was able to export the animation as a pict sequence in which the mapped movie played through to the end while the type animated in front of it. Now when I open the original Carrara file, I cannot get the mapped movie to play no matter what I do. It remains stuck at the first frame for the full duration of the sequence and does not change. I also do not understand exactly what effect the movie controls (play and loop) have in the Carrara backdrop window where I have loaded the movie as a map. It seems like they should work in conjunction w/ the keyframes but are having no effect whatsoever and I think they worked before somehow but I don't know what I'm doing different. Any help anyone can offer will be appreciated. Thanks. Jack
