Yea! Same dev team as always.I can see of how I am going to use the new C6 features in illustrations already. I intend uninstalling Poser. Plus, the price is cheaper at DAZ than ever before at any other home. Also, same as always Carrara beats them all in its niche feature for feature dollar for dollar! DAZ isn't perfect and I still wonder about the ultimate fate of Hexagon but for then most part I like DAZ more and more. I can't help it and it is not about content this or software that. DAZ has made my wallet HAPPY! That is important to me. Stan |

Steama. DONT unistall your Poser stuff-- just add the Runtimes into the Carrara6 Browser. All those great saves/files into Poser over the years are immediatly accesable directly by Carrara 6. I have, now, directly downloadable by Carrara6, ALL my Poser,5,6 and 7 stuff, The Daz Studio stuff, the Carrara 6 Runtime stuff! |

Ya, both companies are being completely stupid. Little do they realize that they're blowing off huge chunks of users for the sake of selling a few more cheap copies of thier software. Penny wise, pound foolish... If these two compaines worked together they'd sell software and puppets to all the users.. Almost everyone who has one of the programs has the counterpart from the other company. It's an imaginary competition they are in really..

I like some of the small new features best, like being able to expand the UV mapping window. Symetrical modeling is the shnizzle! It makes character modeling so much more enjoyable. I'll probably use the poser features at work as well.

I agree with this, in my opinion it's almost silly not to upgrade to C6 for under a 100 bucks if for nothing else, a nice hair simulator. The fact remains that they'd both (EF and Daz) grab huge chunks of users if they worked even a fraction closer together.. The stuff is so cheap that anyone serious about their 3D dolls using Poser-7 is almost nutty not to have C6 as well. Instead they're fighting like dogs over scraps instead of sitting back and watching the whole herd come in... |

...yes, but daz created the 'confrontational mode' themselves. In fact, if you read back on old threads you'd probably find their ways a bit cheezy. I run a successfull business, unrelated to 3d, but if I were in ef's shoes I wouldn't want anything to do with daz.
