Sky Editor Rainbows slider

(ref Help P314)

Seeing the recent rainbow tute made me think that I can not remember anyone using the rainbow slider built into the Sky. (The Realistic Sky does not have that slider?)

Any comments, ideas, samples from anyone about this?

It probably won't get much use until they add the "Unicorn" button.

You may not be aware that Spike Milligan was my understudy in writing scripts for the Goon Show.

And, for anyone who does not understand that, you REALLY are missing out on the joys of life!

Love the new hat brian, very Dr. Sues and that guy was the best.

User bugs? Everyone knows it's always the softwares fault. ;)

Does the rainbow thing even do anything? I've seen it once or twice but never had any need to make a Lucky Charms render.

Brian,
I found the rainbow in Carrara to be virtually useless. I needed to be able to position the rainbow coming out of a stump and resize it to fit.
I ended up making a simple arch, with a rainbow texture map in the color channel and the glow channel. The transparency was adjusted to about 90%....if I remember correctly.
If you need the texture map, let me know.

Dennis it's nice to hear from you again. What new stuff have you been up to recently ?

Could you put the texture map here for all--or PM me? Like to have that added to my files.

Here you are.....simple, but very effective. Just map it to a vertex arch and you are on your way !
