Anything grows

It looks awesome but before buying it, I want to be sure that it works for real and how to use it.
I read a topic with some costumers that have problem to run the plugin , may some post an user gallery or tell me his experience?
I am a beginner in Carrara so don't want to spend 40 bucks and then can't use the plug in.

really, this plug-in is only for Fur, plants, but not hair !!!

it can help you to create nice surfaces of fur, but need few layers for length, color, etc....

Interesting plugin, but not so easy to use, because you have to use many layers to control size, density, etc. for the fur you want to create. Anything grows do not support comparison with HAIR (for cinema 4D), but it is less expensive.

I think an excellent, easy to use plugin. I have had the plugin and updated--for free--since Carrara3. Download the trial version and all the tutorial stuff available. Also see the images at the site applicable to the plugin.

Because it generates a heavy amount of polygons... so for a full fur you'd need a renderfarn to render it . Otherwise directly get in touch with Eric at DCG and raise the question to him as he is DCG !
This teddy fur i've made with AG have tons of polys ! For still images it's great.

Well, you may right .I hoped that if was a sort of advance fur shader ; if you can't put it in animations ( I have not a renderfarm) then it is useless for me.
Otherwise , the forum IS really usefull.

You need to talk to Eric at DCG before you make conclusions which may be incorrect.

FYI you don't need a huge amount of strands to get a good fur effect with anything grows. Ever since Eric added UV map along strand you can create hair with an alpha without using a large amount of strands. Check out the "Fluffy bouncy thingy" here.
