I just got a new Intel mac. Where can I find an update for the intel version of Carrara?

I tried that before I posted here. I don't see anythign that says specifically that it's an upgrade for the intels. Do all the upgrades include the intel installer?

Yea, even though I'm not running it native at the moment, when I go to render I see 4 render regions rather than the usual 2. Had I known that I would have gotten the 8 core.

Right. Just lost all faith in Carrara and Amapi. Amapi will no longer import natively into Carrara, and there are so many problems converting. Carrara hangs repeatedly, especially after a render. It's just spent 8 hours rendering a scene, and has just frozen on me. As you can guess, I'm not very happy. So this is the end of the line for me, Amapi and Carrara. I'm on the lookout for some new software.

Maybe you need the patch, or the most recent upgrade, to solve your render proiblem. the same thing happened to me and the upgrade fixed it.

I'm sticking to Carrara; I love it!!!
