Check the displacement tab on your shader in Carrara. Seeing the blown out seams on the back of your model it looks like your amplitude is way too high. the default is 1.00 set it to .3 and enable subdivision Last edited by rickei; 11th February 2007 at 16:26. Reason: spelling |

Hard for me to see the image clearly - too dark here. That said, is it possible you need to adjust the "Offset" slider in the displacement tab? I've had to keep adjusting mine to 0 in order for my own maps to line up on my models properly.

you may also try lowering the Brightness of your displacement texture. say 50% or less. I looks like one side is much worse than the other. I'm not sure how you exported and imported this but Maybe flip your texture???
