Hi. I recently upgraded to Carrara Pro 5 and would like to get some of the plugins that are available (3rd party and otherwise). A lot of them look very interesting but there are so many, I was wondering if anyone would care to mention ones that they have used and are particularly happy with. Thanks for all past replies to my posts. Jack 3D |

Jack, I have several of them from DCG and they're all good. I mainly picked them up one at a time when or if I needed them. The shader plug-ins are my favorites because they lend more overall flexibility to generating procedurals than Carrara does on its own.

I agree with Couerl, the most useful ones tend to be the procedural shader plug-ins. Here are my favorites (not in a particular order though): DCG's "Enhance:C", "Shader Ops", and "Shaders Plus" Inagoni's "Baker" and the often ignored but completely amazing "Shoestring Shaders" found here http://www.des-web.net/html/shoestring_shaders.html ...shorty |

I made a comment on another site. Download all the information and tutes of all the pluguns available. Study them and put into a folder. Later, when you are working in Carrara you you will think--ahhhh!-now I need that "---" plugin. |
