| UV mapping?
I am wondering how I can place the displacement map exactly where I want it. I know I need to use UV mapping but I do not understand it 100% from reading the manual. I see the Sphere and cube configuration. Could some one post how to make a cube and put the displacement map in the corner of a cube? Could anyone then make an organinc shape like a person and place the displament map on the figures chest? I am trying to get real good with textures and I think UV mapping might be the key. Can I place a displament map on the figures chest and then another one on the figures back? Any info would help.

A displacement map follows the UV map just like the texture, only it's put in the displacement channel. No big mystery there, just a grayscale image that tells the program to raise the surface where the map is lighter.
