poser 7 work around

keep poser 6 installed - this is were carrara will look for .obj and textures when opening a poser 7 file. Copy into poser 6 runtime folder all relevant poser 7 runtime folder files. Now you can import poser 7 files into carrara - worked fine for me.

I wonder if it's necessary to copy those textures over to your Poser Runtime?

I insist on using External Runtimes for all my work. Very little extra stuff is installed into the Poser installation/Runtime.

I imported a Poser scene into Carrara, using both Transposer and the Native Import. Both methods worked.... but the associated textures were NOT within Poser 6's installation. (I don't yet have Poser 7).
