3D mouse - Polyloop

Hi all. I am new to this forum. My Name ist Eddi. I am living in hameln/germany. I am working with carrara since one year. I am starting 3d with 3d studio for dos (!) ~1995. ~2001 switch to Truespace 5.
I am producing technical animations.

an example:
www.3dn-daten.de/alles/elektrischer_Anschluss.wmv

a gadget/gimmick
www.3dn-daten.de/alles/paperclips.wmv

Here my question:
do anybody use the 3d mouse by connexion? Do carrara 5 pro support the 3d mouse?
What do you advise: 3d mouse or a graphics tablet?
