You make me laugh bwtr. I will say thanks this time for the info and screen shot even though I know how to duplicate with symmetry already. What I ment to say is I want symmetrical modeling. Your intentions were on the mark but I made an error in my post. It happens.

| No sale price "Carrara 5 – Download Version Price: $249.00" I assume this is because I'm not a Daz 3D member. Could someone check for any sign of an expiration date. I'd be willing to sign up as long as I knew I could get this deal. |

I dont understand your message clearly. I see the price printed at (for5Pro) at $197.64, reduced from $549! The DAZ members price is $138.35!!! Being a member costs about $10 a month (or less) and there is enough just in the free stuff available new each month to make that good value. Then, you have the very low special members price on all pay for items. OK , for me, a huge amount of DAZ stuff I find Yuk!, but there are some good bits of wheat amongst the chaff. |

davisssrh - Once you become a member you propably won't regret it. It is hassle free, they bite your bank account just little and as bwtr said there is some good stuff among lousy stuff. I recommend signing up just to get Carrara for that redicilous low prize.

I suspect we'll be seeing Carrara 6 before June. The last time they suddenly put one of their products on an awesome sale like this was with Bryce 5.5. Sure enough, it wasn't too long before they released Bryce 6, and sold upgrades to all those folks who bought 5.5! It's very clever marketing. I think a lot of software companies have realized that upgrades are their bread and butter, rather than the original sale of the product. I've been buying upgrades for Photoshop and Lightwave for eleven years. That adds up. I believe that to be the reason that DAZ sold Hexagon so inexpensively at first, also. |

The special pricing is for DAZ Platinum Club members. You will not see the special price until you join the PC Club. I just joined the PC Club, and bought Carrara 5 Pro.(thanks to the help of a new friend).. what a fantastic deal! |

It can be somewhat confusing. You can be a DAZ customer... and you can join the DAZ forums... Then you can join the Platinum Club (PC Club) for a fee. So that's potentially 3 different DAZ memberships. The way the PC club works, you won't see the PC Club prices till you join. Just a tip... you want to join first, then come back later to get any special sale prices. That's because the system doesn't always update immediately. Oh, before I forget, the sale ends on Februrary 2. http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php...c2f3fcd5481cb6 Last edited by Altered_Ego; 29th January 2007 at 20:29. Reason: Added the link |

Also, you can save money by purchasing an annual membership, rather than going monthly. I use a ton of 3D content, so I've found it to be well worth the price. I also make my own content, at need, using Amapi. I couldn't begin to design ALL the content I use, though. I'd never get anything finished. :D Gordon www.fotoonz.com |

You have a point there. I'd thought of getting the Annual Membership, when I get a regular income. In the meantime, a friend was gracious enough to help me get what I have. Oh, another good investment for Poser users is Poserworld... http://www.poserworld.com/ Last edited by Altered_Ego; 29th January 2007 at 21:30. Reason: Added link |
