Where did all the text go? - Polyloop

My Carrara program recently started acting odd. Now if I enter into a modeling room to change the color of an object or change the font of a text after clicking on something all the text of the entire program disapears. Even if I change that file. This is happening with new and saved files also. I have not made any recent software installations nor change any hardware in the computer. How can I fix this any ideas?

I suggest you try reinstalling carrara or maybe resetting preferences - maybe one of windows updates has installed a driver that has caused this ?
also have you changed the driver used inside carrara (from software to direct x or opengl ?)

I got this a lot too on my mac: I also got weird overlapping window images and ghost window images, where the only way out was to force crash the program and start again. It magically cured itself when I reloaded from scratch and installed the most up-to-date version of Carrara, so have you got the 5.1 update installed?

I did reset the preferences and the program is back on track working as it should. Thanks.
