first project renders ( newbie)

Hello all..

This is my first project.. I am new to 3d..

I am still struggling with Hexagon ( using a bit of Modo also) .. and Carrara

I want to learn to model .. ( mostly cars ) ..

Anyway.. here are my first renders.. The shader isnt anything special.. basically a modified version of the orange plastic that came with Carrara.. ( I couldnt get black to look right ) ..

Thanks..

I did model the car body.. however .. I am cheating..

I am copying a existing model.. I imported the model.. I took screenshots of each view.. and then.. I used those as a reference..

and to think it only took two weeks..

soon.. I will be in trouble.. as the model doesnt have any trim.. or anything.. just the basic shell.. and it is all in one piece..

I am still learning where all of the buttons are.. and how to accomplish things..

you might need to break it up if you plan to open windows/doors/etc.. Might not be easy if your mesh edges don't match to the edges of the body panels... did you follow the mesh topology of the original model ?
