| Carrara Dual Screen problem
Hello, let me first say I am a long time user (Raydream Studio anyone) and have been reading (lurking in the shadows) since the 3Dxtract days. I'm not much for posting, can't type to save my life. Who needs to type, I was going to be an artist...I think were my words back then. Anyway to the point. I have installed 5.1 UB for Mac and now I can't get dual screens to work. I can drag to the second monitor but once there I can't use it. Even stranger the right side of my 1st screen stops functioning in Carrara. Can't hide, enter shading room or rendering room. If I drag an object all the way to the right I can no longer work with it. The only thing I can do is reset the prefs to single screen and restart Carrara. Anyone experience this at all? You may have guessed I'm on MacPro. I've deleted prefs and rebuilt directories. No go. However 5.1 PPC version under Rosetta works fine. If anyone has a fix let me know, also do you think I should bother reporting it to Daz? Thanks in advance and I love Polyloop and visit everyday. |

It would be great to loead Windows XP on the Mac Pro to see if it still happens. It could be a Mac thing or a bad driver install. I use dual screen all the time with XP, 2000, etc. Your problem does sound odd.

I think it is an issue with the Universal Binary version of Carrara 5.1. Since the PPC version works fine. I found a discussion here; http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php...ra+dual+screen (may need acccount to view) at Daz site and I am not alone. Seems it has been reported as a bug. Oh well guess till Carrara 6 I'll have to decide between speed/performance OR dual screens.
