Question Animating Turn Tables

I am a bit new to animating in Carrara and animation in general. I was wondering how I would create an animation of a 360 degree rotation around an object (like it is setting on a spinning disc). I have messed around with putting a camera on a motion path and trying to draw a circular motion path with the camera pointing at the object, but it this caused all sorts of trouble.

Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks.

For that little trick with the camera, you'll need to do it this way:

1) Point the camera (or use the Point At behaviour) at the object you want.
2) Select the camera ONLY and then Group it. (That's right, there will be only one object in the group)
3) Engage the Caps Lock on you key board.
4) Click on the hot point of the camera group and move it to the X-Y center of the object that you want to orbit around
5) Turn off the Caps lock and with the camera group selected, go to the modifiers tab and select the Spin Behaviour and set it to your desired rate of rotation.

Had a mess around with it and I found out that when I am animating a scene using GI and setting the background to a colour (such as blue), Carrara renders as if the colour is set to grey regardless of what the actual colour is set to. If I switch back to a still render, it renders properly, and if I render an animation with a texture as the backdrop is renders properly too.

Hmm... quite odd!

Animations with HDRI work fine here so something else is going on...

Are you making all of these changes at the beginning of the timeline. It sounds like it could be keyfram issue.

Ah thanks a million you cracked it! I had applied the changes at the end of the animation! Thanks a lot! This seemed like a really odd bug
