| Spline ![]() | Useage Hi guys I originally asked if anyone uses blender on these forums but realised that it was a dumb question to ask, so I'm changing it to... If you use blender, what other programs are in your workflow. Thanks

| Box modeling ![]() | Hi. I use Blender. Not yet in a professional environment, though. It's my first intro to 3d, and am still experimenting with it. The image below is one of my many Blender doodles which I just finished a few minutes ago. 3D is an on and off thing for me. I also have Hex and C5. |

| Box modeling ![]() | Here's two more of my Blender doodles just to enliven this lonely section of the forum. I'm not even recommending Blender. It's free to download any time you want and see for yourself if it's for you. I had a difficult journey when I was starting with it, and still are. I recommend Hexagon or Silo for modeling and Carrara for rendering if you are a newcomer to 3D.![]() |

)Are you using Blender's built-in renderer for these, or another? I have downloaded Blender, Yafray, Indigo, Python and a several scripts but have not yet installed them. I'm not leaving Carrara, but would also like to explore options not currently available with Carrara and I don't have the $$$ for XSI, Max, Maya, or C4D. It would be nice to exchange animation data between Carrara and Blender with Collada, but Carrara does not support it. FBX may work, but I don't know if Blender imports/exports FBX?

I remember reading several threads here and on some the other forums about DarkTree Shaders, which can be used in most 3D apps, including Blender, with the Symbiont plugin. Now I'm curious if any of the independent rendering engines will support DarkTree/Symbiont as well. Time to do some research it seems. Yeah, I'll have to start lurking over in the Blender forums. ![]()
