...an unfinished electric drill

My attempt of an electric drill using Blender's poly/subd tools which I did months ago. I was trying to emulate one of those models seen in Rhino's gallery trying to prove that poly/subd tools are just as capable when it comes to mechanical models. For now I've had enough of poly/subd tools which are more suited to organic modeling, imo. And it's time to revisit NURBS modeling using Amapi Pro tools.

Nice work. Any chance of posting some screenshots?

I'm curious why you don't try and use Blender's NURBS.

Might as well post how this drill evolved. I was not only trying to model an electric drill, I was also trying to design a unique one that hasn't been seen at Home Depot. I didn't know how to finish the first one. I got restless and decided to do a more normal-looking one, then I got bored and have to earn money, left it unfinished.

I haven't really explored Blender's NURBS. I'm sure they're too basic to be usable to do something this complex. Right now I'm really trying to find time to use Amapi Pro. How I wish I could turn this hobby to pay bills.
