Most of this is suposition so please bear with me. Daz people that would use Hex2 to make Daz content are already doing it with another program. People that lack the experiance, knowledge, or ambition to make their own models buy them. I would guess that there is a much higher demand for content then people produce. How would Daz fix this problem, by inviting a lot of cg modelers to the site that wouldn't normally go there.
Yes, Hex2 was a buggy hook to get you into the Pclub. And I'm sure most of us will be hanging around waiting on the forth coming patch, and then Hex2.1. So there will be quit a few that will stay in the Pclub long ebough to get Hex2.1 in a few months {$}. Sence I'm pessimistic that Daz will have it as a free upgrade, so $. Now Daz has your $ for the Pclub, $ for a few months of Pclub subscription, pluss $ for the 2.1 update. And fringe benifits.
Say only 10% of the people that joined Daz to get Hex2 stay once the have it. We will assume that most people that want Hex2 are experianced modelers, so that 10% that stays with Daz can already model and probebly fairly well. Now lets say 10% of that 10% start adding content to Daz. Now Daz has several new contributers to Daz content, to fill that void between supply and demand.
I just don't see how Daz can lose on this no matter how you cut it.
