Oh joy. As a registered user of Carrara Pro, and Poser since version 1, I recently bought Hexagon, instead of Modo, because of the price difference and the upgrade to 2. I've been moving away from Lightwave and Cinema4D for my (limited) 3D work, because the Eovia products can accomplish the goals, are more affordable, and seem to be moving in a more professional direction. I only do 3D part-time, but when I do, it is for professional purposes, not as a hobbyist.
DAZ looks like a hobby company. They make digital dollhouses. Their direction is not at all like Eovia was looking. Their tools do not interest me. A closer integration of the Eovia tools with the DAZ tools do not interest me. In fact, it will dilute the product with not only clutter, but new DAZ-related bugs.
I'm extremely disappointed with myself for getting involved in these tools, with the trust I placed in Eovia, and with my recent purchase of Hexagon, VectorStyle, etc.
Sigh. Looks like it's time to change plans, again. I don't really need GI-Joes, Barbies, or dollhouses for my 3D work.
