Sorry for repeating some stuff again but just to make sure.
Your Amapi .zip archive is 56.2 MBs or thereabouts.
If your Amapi .zip archive has some third party icon as a default use right-click contextual menu to get to "Open with..."
From there select "BOMArchiveHelper"
Amapi installer file is 26 MB after uncompressing it.
Installs without a problem on any disk.
Sorry if you were doing this already.
My problems came from using some third party utilities that were not expanding the archive properly. Rely on built-in tools.
