@wabe: what system are you running? 10.3? 10.4?
which machine? have you tried the usual maintenance steps?
how did you unzip the download?

there really has to be something wrong on your side of things, and FWIW the installer contains a resource fork (664 K in size) after unzipping. so if anything, it either is your browser, your unpacker-app, your system or setup. not saying it's your fault, but the download provided by eovia unpacks perfectly on my machine, using nothing but apple's built-in unzip mechanism (no need for stuffit here, dunno why some people are using it)...
