Really nice coin...
Is that Pirates of Nankoku???
What's the deal with the two extra strokes in the koku kanji? Old writing?

Anyway, wonderful coin, and keep it hima over there in the east...

That two extra strokes is a style of the carigraphy.
It is the strokes to the next parts.
It called "sousyotai".I attach the kanji,but I don't know
your computer could show the kanji.sousyo 草書

The 草漢字 I don't know, but 書 I learnt pretty early on.
Is Tommy a nick name?
Cause carigraphy is a very Japanese spelling mistake of calligraphy.
とにかく、本当に素晴らしい金貨、それは。
実は、来週東京に行くよ。でも、彼女とディスにーランドに行く。
