Post your current project 8/25/2006.

Come on. Don't be shy. Even if you are currently staring at a blank cube in your Hexagon/Carrara/Modo/XSI/etc. 3D view. Show it! You could have performed the most perfect bevel on that cube! And we want to see it!!

This isn't a progressive thread like when you post up a WIP its a where are you at and what the heck are you up too thread!? So post a screengrab of your projects current status and even a link if you have a WIP thread going on now.

I plan on doing this once a month and looking them over. And randomly picking one of them to feature on the front page blog. With a little interview if you'll be kind enough to answer a few questions. I'll also post a link to your website/work here on the forum/whatever you'd like.

So lets see them and have some fun.

Not nearly as good as the stuff on here already but thought I'd show to give some other newbs the courage to post.
This is for a challenge that has expired and I missed... again. 970 tris.

Throne for the challenge. Completed in a quick evening. (which is good for me) 1362 tris

Statue for same challenge. First organic character. 3720 tris

Early picture of the room they were to be in. You can see the place markers in there.

That's about it for what I'm working on right now... well was working on.

Let's see some of what other people are working on!

Thanks : yes it's planned, that's why the bottom of the engine is not done as even if the hood is open, one can only see the top/sides of the engine.

A hydraulic fitting I am doing in Amapi Pro(NURBs) Took measurements with a vernier off a sample fitting to create my longitudinal lines After the measurements were right it did not take long to make it with Nurbs.

Here's Flettner 282 Kolibri I'm making in Hex, It's supposes to be a paper model - after unfolding (no projection, no stretching allowed) texture templates will be exported to Corel Draw where they'll become parts of the kit. That's to be printed and assembled in real. So texture templates aren't tool here, they are the goal

Rendered in Carrara5, Azeiku, lots of good stuff from the rest of the people here, good job guys !

Here is better quality render (this time with ceiling and more photons), still untextured, light adjustment is in progress, as is modeling more props for the scene ( in Silo 1.4) . Cheers

With Carrara 5, of course....

I'm trying to make a Music Video while learning how to use Carrara, the theme /style of the demo will be the style of the Demo Scene of the Commodore 64 and Amiga. So each scene will mimic a popular effect that was used in those demos. I have sketched out a rough idea of what each scene will look like.

One of the Scenes which is almost complete has a Checker Pattern Plane witha reflective rotating Icosahedron and a Clear Glass Logo as the Camera Pans across this scene hundreds of Amiga "Boing" Spheres are falling ontop of the Icosahedron and bouncing off the logo and eventually off the scene.

Another Scene has a Rotating Logo with Colored Bar's cycling around the logo done using a crude path that I made, I think it could be achieved with orbiting but I have to yet figure it out, as well I hope to create an animated Starfield either scrolling horizontaly or towards the viewer..again something I have to figure out how to do.

The End Scene will feature a white background with maybe Veronica from Poser in various poses and outfits, positioned on the left side of the screen while scroll text is being displayed from bottom to top.

And finaly when the entire video is compiled a Side Scroller in the OldSkool style will scroll along the bottom of the video sending out greetings to the Commodore 64 and Amiga community. Heheh I hope none of them are to read this. Its supposed to be a surprise.

Here are a Screen Shot of the two scenes I've got going right now, I know...I know they dont look impressive, but its my first attempt.

The second shot with the color bars, will eventually have a Star Field in the background...if and when I figure out how to do it.
