[AP75/Shade] NURBS Corkscrew

This is the last model I made, a NRUBS one. I still need to finish some polygons meshes, but I wanted to do some tests renders with Shade.

Then, it's a full NURBS modeling model, everything is dynamic, the dynamic geometry has never been collapsed. potentially, everything is editable

For those of you who already know Amapi Pro, this is only a new Shade theme added to the old list of themes, that you will be able to discover when we will release the Amapi 7.5.2 service release.

For the Shade render, it's not perfect at all, it have a lot of noise, but I didn't wanted to spend too much time yet to improve that, I still have a lot of discover. Also, the Amapi tesselation haven't been increase, that's why it's not perfectly rounded on some parts.

I hope you will like it

A corkscrew opener! It looks quite nice! The image is as you say a little blurry, but still, quite pretty.

Nice opener.
But the noise in the renders, is it GI or radiosity related, or did you make it like that intentionally?

Darn, that's fast, I was just about to come in and add:
Edit: Never mind, I read the post more carefully this time, and got the note about the noise...
LoL. ;)

Nice job Thomas, I picked up the free Shade 7 but have had no time play with it due to figuring out XSI.

Nice object. IMHO the final render would look much nicer without the filmgrain or whatever it is. But All the others mentioned that before... so it is nothing left to say, but: Cool work!

Despite the grainy render because of the GI settings I'm impressed with the quality. What was the render time and computer specs?

P4 2.6Ghz, 2Gb of Ram, but I don't remember the render time (the final render is at a biger size)
I'll add the render time for the next ones

I also picked up Shade 7 from the CG society , too many apps master of none ! To make it even more confusing i just recently added Cinema 4-D 9.5 to the arsenal ! Nice modeling on the cork screw there .
