[XSI-ZBrush] Glukkon model

Hey everybody, been awhile since ive posted any works on the site. Love the new site by the way Thomas. Great job!

Anyways, here is a piece I have been working on for my portfolio. Base mesh modeled inside of Softimage XSI 5.11. Uvs where unrapped there as well so I could take the model into ZBrush for some detail work.

Crits are always welcome... still a WIP

great model Jakal. I had to look at it twice to notice that the legs were smaller than the arms. from the thumbnail it looks like it has long legs and small arms, like T-rex. Excellent job, can't wait to see it texture.

Yes, this character walks on his hands leaving his legs completely useless. He is a character from Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. I got a great concept drawing of him from "The Art fo Oddworld Inhabitants" book that Ballistic published awhile ago.

Hi, great model,
only thing I don't like is some of the zBrushy displacement.
Especially the small lumps on the back of the head, they seem so soft.
It's one of the things I don't like about displacement maps, in the beginning I really loved what people were making in zBrush, but after a while I could kind of spot if a model was done in zBrush because of how displacement looks.
It's kind of like poser art, which gets its very own distinctive look.
Hard to come around it though, and I don't really have a solution, just something about displacement maps, the spine too kind of looks zBrushy.
I know more parts are sculpted using displacement, but it's especially those lumps that jump out, maybe they aren't irregular enough, it's just a thought that popped into my mind right now...

I don't know, it will probably look better with textures and proper lighting, but displacement on white-shaders at least looks kind of off...
