To fit the size of the scene it's being used in. It's getting added to the cliff scene I put in a picture of above. It turns out that I'm going to have to re-make the egg anyway, since I can't use the light effect that I did in the first scene. So remaking is the best bet.

Turns out I didn't need to remake it. After three days of messing around, I finally came up with a seamless texture that fitted the egg. Then was simple enough to displace it. Now I need a decent dragon for the middle. Can't find a decent one to use, so am probably going to end up with a 2nd class attempt at one...
