Victor from Corpse Bride

Working on Victor from the Corpse Bride movie for a challenge at http://www.subdivisionmodeling.com/. Model in Hex render in C5pro. The nose ridge is a little hard(still tweaking), need to start on the hair and then the rest of the body.

Thanks guys, it's a little odd working loops with Tim's facial design.

Started working on the hair, I still have to do the bangs which will add alot of volume to the front of the hair/head area and smooth out the hairline. Time consuming process but did not turn out to bad for being made out of a sphere.

Finished the hair and the upper torso(3 more hours), now for those Tim Burton thin limbs. I'll really have to fight the urge not to make them too large diametrically.

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you like it. I'm finished with him, just tweeking now, I'll post later.

Just- the jacket is just a cylinder and I scaled out the loops in the front and side views to get the shape, then deleted the polys for the lapels. Adjust the lapel points, disassociate the front seem, then fast extrude the lapels from the neck loop twice, adjust those points and add thickness. I've attached a time lapse of a similar jacket. The vest is just a jacket copy with no lapels and extra polys cut off(no need to reinvent the wheel).

Finished with the modeling and the UV mapping(eye shadow and pinstripe pants in photoshop). Now a simple rig for posing next. I wish we had simple ball joints in Hex for posing characters quick, no animation(that's what Carrara's for) just posing for a render.

Corndog- I used the Sorenson Video 3 codec, if you were able to view the particle text .mov from the Carrara thread it should work.

Superb work. I love it.

The crisp angular quality is excellant.
Very impressive how such few polygons can create such pleasing cloths - clever fella.
