| Fountain
Here's a scene I'm currently working on. This was just a test render for some of the textures on the fountain and the fog. I will be adding more greenery to the landscape and some better lighting, soon I hope. Fountain modeled in Hexagon, rest in Carrara 3.

No it isn't a helix. I took a cylinder and looped the outside top edge and used the edge tool to circle in a few times. Then I varied every other circle so it looked wavy and did a moderately long process involving a few boolean operations (I probably could have done it easier some other way but hey, it worked) so that it didn't look like there were ripply topped cylinders floating in the water.

| Pixar want to hire me! ![]() | The modeling seems to be fine. I like the swans very much. But the textures need more work. In my opinion they are too elementary. And the wine (... or is it water?) looks not like falling liquid, but more like falling silk or something like that. Perhaps you could overwork it with the particle emitter? I think this would look much better. Hope this helps? ![]() Perhaps you could also put some plants into the background? At the moment the fountain seems to be a bit lone. |

Thanks for the tips JuST, and I was already going to add some plants of some sort in. And like I said it was kind of just a test render for the moment to check the fog and such, and to see things like how realistic the liquid was. I'll redo with better textures, those were just default Carrara shaders I used, but I'll make one for myself. I've never worked with the particle emitter before though so I really don't know how to go about that but I'll look for some tutorials or something online. Thanks for the compliments too by the way.

hey, Nice model I like the detail of the top very much. Are you using a premade shader (rust?)? The spacing of the shader is so seems off... I would think that you would should make the spot size smaller and the bledding a lot more possibly for a better look. Over all a nice model the ripples are very creative. Thanks for sharing the pic. plz update if u can! Austin |

Thank you for the comment smile, and no the shader isn't a default shader but I just threw it together quickly for a test render. I will update it as soon as I can get some more work done on it, but currently I am wrapped up in another project.
