Nierd!

This is a wip I'm currently posting on the french side of the forum, but I know that most of english readers don't take a look at the french part

I started, a long time ago, a kind of Evil woman face, and I always wanted to do the "Male" of the same style. But here, I won't stop at the head.

About the head, it's almost done, now, I have to clean the topology a little bit (too much stars&knot edges), and continue adding some details. About morphology details, I'll finish the extra one in Zbrush.

Comments and critics are always welcome !

Modeled in Hexagon 1.2 and the test renders in Carrara 5

I progress a little bit tonight. I didn't change at all the topology problems, that I know and you show me, I prefer finish most of the body, adding all the details, and then, cleaning it!
But you (all) are true on these modelling problems (the most important problem for me is the loop missing between the nose and mouth..)

And this model won't be animate, I only do some pose.

The model will have 4 arms (that what I start today), two legs and a tail (in fact, two tails...). I have to work a lot the connection of the two arms, actually, I don't like it...

The arms are nearly ended. I'll add some extra details laters and most of the final one, with Zbrush. I also have some extra work to clean the topology.

Next part, the end of the torso!

I continue a little bit on the back. Still a lot of work on this part....
I also found a problem while pasting my pictures in Photoshop, shown by the red arrow on the last capture. I'll correct it!

I've already seen this guy in the French section (just cannot answer in French, because my French is too bad) and I think he is really cool! The muscles are outstanding! And the idea to create 4 arms is great!
*g* I just wonder, why he, in contrast to the female version, is looking so gruffy?

Well sorry I do not know how to describe...He does not really look angry, but not friendly or happy either... He looks as if he got up on the wrong side of the bed and as if he therefore treats anybody a bit harshly ^^. Do you know what I mean (bourru is a word I remember in French, but I do not know whether this describes the thing I want to say correctly)?
(I did not mean that he is modeled angular or something.)

Oh, ok, I understand what it means now (Bourru is the good word, congratulation about your vocabulary!)

I didn't work on the facila expression at all, and he will have some accessories, that's why he looks like this ;)
But if you take a look at the "female", she have the same kind of expression

I use Wireframe Pro from DCG. It's a very good plugin, which I'll use soon in animation.
It is also include in the last plugin pack, ShaderStyle, available at Eovia.com

Thomas,GOOOOOOOD MODELING!!

It must be difficult to model the character who has 4arms,as you mentioned.
But there is no strange part in your character and your flow of polygon is great.
I will use your captures as reference for my learning 3DCG.
I'll expect for completion of this model

Update of the day. Damn I hate these legs... I think I'll rebuild some parts when I'll have a little more time. I'm partially based on human anatomy.. (huh, where ?
By the way, this guy is not human
I change the body proprtion, the head was too small, and tweak a little bit the hands.
Next part, the two tails and the feets!
Critics are always welcome

Hi Thomas

Your critter is coming along very nicely indeed. You certainly have a good grasp of your subject. However I feel that the flow of the pectorals into the bicep/deltoid area needs a little work, there is too much of a sharp crease there where there should not be any, also the quadriceps are way too sharp.

Just the observations of an illustrator. I am loking forward to seeing him finished.

What does this guy do for a living...juggle? And whats that a tail, no, two tails!!!

Regards
David
