Another random idea, based on doodlings. I'm already finding it a good idea to stick to what you've drawn. Drawn in nurbs by drawing lines and giving them a thickness. I had to convert it to poly, as nurbs left many jagged surfaces. If anyone has an idea of how to get round that, please do tell me. I would render this in Bryce, but for some reason it tells me it had bad data :x

Hi Rowan,

Did you ever try using the "Adaptive and Crack Free NURBS" Smooth setting? That may help. Choose the "Smooth" tool and then choose the "Crack Free" option (second sphere to the right from the middle in the Smooth options bar)

I had this problem also, and i found that If you have stray lines hanging around, it will cause bryce to reject it.

Well, thanks for the tips. Nurbs smoothing worked nicely, although I had to revert to a previously saved version to get it into Bryce. Now for a new problem: As you can see, the sphere has gone all blocky. I'm guessing that's because it's gone into polys. Im exporting from Amapi Pro 7.5 as 3ds, into Bryce 4. If that's the wrong way, please enlighten me. Thanks for the advice.

Rather than spam the message boards, I've combined two projects together. The desk I made, same with the mirror. The pen and ink pot are from the amapi pro library. Any comment welcome. Currently working on a background for this, more to come later

The bottle of ink doesnot have a shadow. Other than that it looks pretty good. :love:

I Like the ball with facets. Better than the smooth one.
If you turned the stand upside down and put candles in those bell looking things, Then sit it on a table with the candles lit.

Well, having just finished GCSEs, I've carried on a bit with the room idea, this is a fireplace with experimental lighting in Bryce 4.
