second try - Polyloop

Hi all
I think I am getting better. But going about things the wrong way.
I modal it in poly, and the tools I used the most is "Tesselate, deform, Weld, and mostly the extract lines and sweep tools.
I notices that for rendering, most people are using Carrara. Is carrara as easy to use like Amapi?. Or can a carrara render plugin be install in to Amapi?.

Hi !
It's really better than your first time ! You still seems to use the bolean tool, that isn't the best tool to use in polygon mode ;)

Carrara is the other software from Eovia, which is a 3D complete solution : you can model (not as good as Amapi

) animate and rendering. A lot of user model in Amapi and then, mapping, lightning and rendering in Carrara :love:

Thanks for you advice.
Carrara demo on the CD. and am trying to use it now.
It does make movie. Is it capable of doing a movie like Shrek?.

Huh, hum.. no...
Carrara isn't for really high end users for the broadcast and cinema. It's more softwares like Maya or Softimage (and the price isn't the same)
BTW, you can create shorts movies, advertising and some nice movies ;)

Well i don't work for hollywood and the price of maya $$$$. So I will keep Cararra in my wish list. The Quick tour is not in the demo.
Any idear where to download Quick tour. I think they are tutorial movies like in Amapi. Most helpfull if they are.

After the battle with cararra, I finally got my car in it "3DS" and render it. And after that, I found cararra quite easy to used for this task. I realise that i need to learn more about rendering. All in good time.
Its a really awesome program. I am going to put a deposited on it tomorrow.
Is there any over programs or plug ins that are needed to compliment Amapi and cararra.
Patrick210 said something about DCG plugin "Shader Ops"??

great model Andrew.i cant make cars,this is something what i want to learn this year.i think it is possible to make a good short movie in carrara but it will be a heavy task.go and visit www.rustboy.com brian taylor uses infinti-d and what he can do with this old software is very very very impressive.

After looking at rusty boy I am going to the PC shop for Cararra now.
