electric guitar

Hi all,

First a little introduction: I already use Amapi since v.3 and since last weekend I started using my copy of Amapi Pro. I'm trying out the new features and am especially pleased with the manifold tool.

For a first model I'm trying to model an electric guitar using Amapi Pro. I've created the body using the manifold tool. For the shape I traced a picture from the internet with a NURBS line which I subsequently extruded. All was well untill I chanfered the edges, then a little artificial bump shows up on the body (left side middle, encirceled in yellow), whereas the extruded line there is confluent. I hope it's clear from the screenshots  Any ideas on how to avoid this?

C&C welcome,

Wim

I think it's just a OpenGL prblm.
With a true render it will be clean.

And with a crack-free smooth, is it better ?

Hi Olivier,

I tried a crack-free export, it seems it is indeed an open GL problem in the display. Too bad, just good to know it is there, so I don't worry too much about it.

Thanks, Wim
