[Hex] Marvin the Martain [WIP]

It's been a while since I've posted here with new stuff, anyway, there was this really cool Marvin the Martian toy I saw the other day and just decided make a model of the looney tunes character . Still work to do on the feet and need to start on his skirt thing around his waist. C&C welcome.

It's a nice beginning. Now, you could improve legs and feet.

Its a good start but you may want to gather more reference images. I think the scale is off for the head/torso. You may want to try the shoes as separate objects.

Thanks Grendel you were right, the body was far too big, here's a better scaled version. The modelling is pretty much finished now, going to rig it and texture it now

Thanks, I'm glad you guys like it.
The modelling was all done in Hex 2.5 and unless there's a rigging feature in Hex that i don't know of I'll be using Max to rig it and for renders too. I'd like to try and use Blender too but I'm a bit confused on its interface, anyone got any good tutorials for blender that I can follow? And as for a tutorial, I've never made one but I'll try and see what I can come up with, might be a while for it to happen tho

Hi guys, here's the finished Marvin. I actually finished it a while ago but had no time to post it up due to work.
Hope you like it.
C&C more than welcome, don't be too harsh....

Nice model!
You used displacement painting on the hat, didn't you?
My only critique could be to enhance a bit the textures, it looks very cartoony as it is... but probably is just how it has to be.

Thanks carrozza i'm glad you like it, yeah the textures are meant to be just a simple flat colour but i didn't use displacement painting on any part of this model, it was all done using edge modelling and box modelling.

Do you plan on animating this character?
If yes, what animation program will you be using?

Thanks in advance,
Gustavo

Even though this character is fully rigged and set up for animating, i have no plans to actually do any proper animations with it, al i've done is a simple walk cycle to sort of test the rig. If you're intereseted i'm happy post the MAX [v9] file and you can try making something of it
