| Extrusion ![]() | [Blender 2.46] Alien Guy
Hello ladies and gents. I know it has been a really long time since I have posted anything up here. I got a new computer because my older one died on me. So with the new one I have Vista on it... so unfortunately my Softimage|XSI 5.11 license will not work anymore and I can not afford to upgrade. But not all is lost... there is always Blender and I have gotten accustom with it and actually like using it. Plus since I compile my own builds... its super fast!!!Anyways, enough of my rambling. Here is the model of my Alien guy. Doing this piece with the consept of "Lost in Space". I will post more up when I get it completed. |

Love it. Great cartoony feel. Reminds me of the Jetsons (anyone else remember that?) Will you be placing him in a full scene?

I think the head has to much polygons and I would say the topology isn't really good (the head only) because I wanted to suggest you to rig at least the head, and create some facial expressions

JakalDesign, good to hear you getting the hang of Blender. You're lucky to have gone past the UI/workflow barrier most people are complaining about. Blender is what we all have in common because it's accessible to all. That's probably where we will all end up with. |

Can't blame you, Thomas. Blender is known for having lack of n-gon capability. But a regular code contributor has been working on it for some time now. It's called B-mesh. Hope to see it added when version 2.5 is released. I don't know when. Maybe a year or more. Who knows?
