Audio amplifier (Silo + Lightwave 9.5 beta)

Hello, ya all

Here is something I modeled couple of months back in Silo 1.4...

Textured and rendered in Lightwave 9.5 (beta) few days ago. I also did a little animation as well which can be viewed HERE.

Thanks for checking it out. Cheers

Why do you need to use a not regular movie file compression format?
All this chasing around to get plugins for something new but "so what" is very annoying!

DivX has been around for some time Brian (since 2000). I'm surprised that you have problem with it. What compression format would you suggest ?

it's a very nice technical modeling (and i love that ). The only thing that should be improved IMO are the chrome parts of the plugs, because as your backdrop is grey i assume, they do not like chrome but metallic grey, reflecting.... the background
In the contrary the black bumpy part (sides) is perfect as the front panel. The animation is cool and i can read it without any D/L of codec for myself (i use JetAudio basic which is free)

Woaw, great technical modeling !
The details are very well done, congratulations Sir !

As for the plugs, Pete is right and i think it has to do with the fact you probably still have more than 0% diffuse for that material which leads to this unrealistic chrome...
You can also set the reflection options to "raytrace+spherical map" and use either the "chrome" or "fractal_reflections" images found in the LightWave Content which would be great to simulate the reflections of chrome parts.

Cheers,
Laurent aka Tartiflette

Great model - I'm starting to learn this hard surface SDS stuff so I can now tell how good it is

Looks good LG, the red looked a little saturated though in the movie.

bwtr - go download the VLC player, it can play just about anything and is free.
