Getting there now - but I think the base might be a bit too thin. I'm not sure it would cope with my weight

Looking at the ones in my room here, and in your photo, the bases all seem to be thicker in the center too, then taper towards the feet/casters.

Thanks, still tweaking it, I have several ideas and I am taking some pictures of the one at work to get more precise idea of the parts.

Did you use any reference pictures (on the planes) during modeling? Or do you just make up while going along?
