Looks good, if you have Shaders Plus fom DCG it would help to use Bevel to place tiny chamfers on the edges to pick up highlights.

I have a few of Eric's plug ins but not Shaders Plus. This is the first time I've really needed it. I'm sure I'll pick it up in the next few days though.

progress

I didn't have much time today. Maybe tonight

I started on the lower assembly... here is my progress.
not sure how this is going to turn out, because I'm just doing it by eye... no measuring

I think the grip is going to be tough for my limited skills.

hopefully this will help

just simple shapes, then extrude and bridge and weld. thats how I model most everything.

Looking at the reference image in your grab, I'm not sure you've got it quite right. I've circled the bit in this pic I found on the web.

There looks to be a ridge on the bottom of the grip that is not there on your model.

Otherwise, good stuff. Keep us updated.
