I will continue using Carrara by many reasons but I want to take the next step, theres no XSI for Mac, and i learn more and more new things in Blender ( I have the Blender 2.3 book since 2005) but for a long time I have been wanting to work with C4d, well this month I must decide ($$$) if it is C4D or only the Blender books

I have it and I think you'd be happy with it as well. It does cost allot more than blender though and the module approach can be irritating. You'd want the Mocca module and Final Render from Cebas instead of the AR module(much faster).

This looks good

I have C4d, but have only had time to install it....about 3 months ago.

I don't know if it means anything, but Maxon is "teaming up " with Adobe, on a broadcast pipeline with After Effects

looking good sadot for your first poly-edge model. I actually have C4D, and its pretty simple. I mainly use it for rendering and simple model. Try a demo.

Can't wait to see it with fur, you may also want to try using blenders fur, cause I saw some pictures online of a bunny for a movie that looked amazing.

This is coming along great. My only concern is that once you add the fur, it'll look like a furball. You may want to make it skinnier, like a shaved bear, with a little more muscle and bone joints definition.

Thank you guys.
Eric yes I know its a "fat" bear at this point, thats because my references have all the fur
Im working with some morphs and one of those its a more realistic shape (a Panda bear works really nice with this body and fur )

Etienne Colas: Muchas gracias!!!!

This bear does not scary at all! Like his winking eye!

Think the bear is great. So you just started with facets and added and extracted them? Or started you with lines. Sorry for the questions, still dealing with the 3D terms...

hehe thank you Rickei

Jacqueline : started with only a single facet (a quad point face) and then the Fast Extrusion tool in Hex

Thomas made one great tutorial using this technique

The head of your teddy bear is really nice, strong character. Very good.
But added fur, the paws looks weak, poor shaped, neither realistic nor cartoon.
Maybe try to structure them a bit better -

What is coming up - a white bear, or a bear with a punk hairstyle?
