bwtr - Yes it is but i think all hope is lost![]() ash - I know, but I wanted it to look better than carbon fiber or plastic. Thomas - They look worse than they are(each of the head assemblies are only 50,000 and 30,000 of that are the metal blades and blade covers). Here is another close up of the blade. Wim - Thanks, I'm pretty happy with it. |

I supposed you've used multiple level of copies : - 1st level : multiply one blade along a cicular path to build one head, - 2nd level : copy-cloning for the three heads, haven't you ? I didn't know Amapi was able to handle so many elements. Haven't tested yet

The heads were based off a circle that was extruded out, some cuts were added to define the contours. Then an alternating pattern of polygons were selected and deleted to allow whiskers to pass through to the blades underneath. The blades were based off a cylinder with alternating extrusions on the cylindrical faces.

The detailing of the blades would drive me nuts - my goodness, there is so much going on in these small parts! Incredible! Can't believe that you can do that in one evening...! Does this mean we will see more work from you here......? Just teasing! Jacqueline |
