Kung Fu Panda

A little freetime on the weekend again for some Kung Fu Panda action. I hope to get to the body today but it will probably be next weekend.

An update with the body roughed in, still need to work on the proportions of the head and the transition for the neck.

A mean looking Panda, indeed!

Just a question from a newbie: how does the geometry of the black part of the nose look like?
To me it seems like a different pice is just laid out on top of the (white) nose. Sure that I am wrong, but can't see it well on the picture.

Yesterday I saw the Kung-fu Panda movie trailer in a cinema. Grendel are you involved in the creation of this character, or did you just take inspiration?

No carozza I work for an oil drilling contractor http://www.noblecorp.com/ in the engineering department. I do allot of visualizatoins for projects now and equipment design. But if I had had the chance to make the same money and do animation I'd do that in a flash.

I just saw the trailer as well and thought I would do a rendition of him. I'm not happy with the head at all, it's not round enough and the transition to the torso is wrong as well. I need to fix him up a little but my kids liked him so that was fine

Jaqueline - sorry for the delay the nose is just a separate piece stuck on for now. The geometry is correct for having it part of the head mesh and I can change it but I was in a hurry and went the sloppy way.
