[CP5] Drako in Action

Hi, folks!

I've been very busy for the last months and a little sick too. Meanwhile, I'm trying to improve my modeling skills with Carrara.

Here's a new work. Drako is an old character, created by me for a comic book, many years ago. Now, with the right 3D tool, I'm thinking in create some project with animation...(nuts!)

No particles are used at this scene, everything here it's basic models from Carrara: the car, the fence, the fire (that old fire cylinder primitive object). The explosion is a sphere vertex object, with a combination of 2 modifiers: atomize and explosion (applied to the car too). Plus, the fountain primitive to create the sparks/debris. The shader is a procedual with some DCG ShaderOps plugin glowing and transparency trick. The smoke too, some of the great creations of TOXE - a member from de Renderosity forum, my thanks. With some Depht of Field, 3d Aura and Blur pos-production filters, a HDRI background and a bitmap on the backdrop, the result is kinda cool:

See ya!

Very cool and wonderful, your back , welcome back.
My only comment is see how that fence the metal part continues into the arm and then on the same level the gun is pointing, well it makes you think that the metal is going through the man. Just my observation.

Just a thought on the 3D visual aspect maybe---the colour relationships between foreground and background seem to send the imagery into a 2D impression?

(Wish I could do modelling that good!)

Thanks, man. It's nice to be back. And you're right, that perspective of the fence with the arms and the gun looks kinda weird, I didn't see it before. Thanks for comment.

Thank you, Bryan. That's an interesting point you noted, of the 2D aspect. Maybe I'm focussing the comic book idea of the character when decide to create the scene. I'm glad for your comment, thank you very much.
