It's quite hard to miss, as it's posted in the main banner !!! It seems maybe he wanted to look like a clay sculpture? It is very interesting and he did this well. Also this face has great character and expression. But the render style and skin shader makes me think he is attempting realism. And so the skin looks very artificial because of too much bumps and folds. This "frog-skin" seems thrown on top for no reason...

Still it's much better than anything which i can sculpt ...

As Vimmy mentions, this is still a WIP. Personally, I like the "sweaty" look, but I think only some areas should be so shiny, not the entire head.

I strongly recommend looking at more of his work. It's all incredible. http://forums.polyloop.net/search.php?searchid=159721

It is exceptional work.
Even if he is only 18!

Seems there are always more critique-ers than there are do-ers.
Don't see much of this type of work in this neighborhood, I hope we get to see more.

(Ummm... Behzad... your twitchy chicken makes me nervous... what happened to Bugs? )

Nate - You know as well as anybody that honest criticism goes along with the territory of posting your work. If someone can't take an honest critique, they won't learn. Rickei critiqued a simple image of mine just a few weeks ago. And i thanked him for it. Because he was right about what needed to be improved!

Now that i think about it, i had lots of bumps on my face too when i was just 18! Big red ones...
