| Silo 1.4 - Vue6Infinite: Skateboard and more...
Dunno if this is allowed, but I crammed 4 renders in one thread , did not post anything in a while.Anyways, comments highly appreciated, as usual... Like I said in the header, all models done in Silo 1.4 and all the renders done in Vue6Infinite. Cheers

That's an old'timer skateboard you've got here!!! ;-) Anyway, nice renders! I especially appreciate the textures on the hand grenades!! Are they textures already in Vue, or did you create them? Nice jobS!

Thanks. On the grenades textures are mine (created from scratch vue procedurals) and ground is a photo applied on a terrain object...

Good looking models. They looked like they were done using CAD-based apps. (That stereotype should be smashed in pieces once and for all, imo. )I'm not really much into rendering. I just don't have the eye when it comes to detecting minute rendering details. Right now I see the models perfectly rendered. (I render my models just to see what my model looks like when rendered.) What I'm curious about is why in monochrome? Are you shy rendering them in color? It looks as if you're just focusing on the modeling. But I don't think that's the case... I just don't get it. Thanks, all ![]() Sketchy, I'm the old school photographer, big passion of mine used to be ( and still is) B&W photography (well, now in digital world). Lots of my renders are in color actually, but I like to convert them in B&W often... Cheers

That certainly looks better, LG. Clearly, color adds to the detail. It separates foreground and background as well as materials; textures have more visibility. I do understand the photography association like B&W. I've seen it in countless bookshops. Like most average Joe's, I'm mesmerized trying to understand what the photographer is trying to convey. I'd be honored to have peeps mesmerized at my creation. |

LG. What a shame that these "missed out" people dont appreciate the quality of a wet darkroom produced BEAUTIFULL B&W image is. Do a research of all the top most memorial images-- all in B&W! Do a self study. The mind remembers in B&W in preference to colour! |

Yep, got my first Yashica 1973, and of course film was B&W, first love that was and it's still there... Snake 972: other images are actually rendered in B&W, all shaders are B&W and even HDRI image was converted to B&W before it was used

| I fiddle around Vue6 Infinite sometimes but real rendering is the unknown world to me yet. I want to do real rendering by Vue6 Infinite some time. By the way, you changed your avatar? I like this renewed one having an air of lonely Western gunman. He seems to be John Wayne. shoeach WinXP HE sp2, Core 2 Duo E6600, GeForce 7900GT, 2GB RAM |
