Hot looking drill, nice modeling. I dont know much about blender... do you have to put extra edge loops into the corners to get a hard edge or can you crease an edge in the render?

| Blender...
As much as I would have liked to focus on modeling, this is not about it at all. This is about a theme, which is the name of the software I'm using. I was trying to make a mockup of a Blender book cover. I would have liked to add extra details on the body, but, man, it ain't easy. I'm still trying to figure out how to add small details without affecting the main body. Like if you add an extra edge to sharpen an edge, that extra edge goes all the way around the main object, which you don't need. I've seen a solution or technique to get around this. I think at subdivisionmodeling.com or some site I don't remember. I suspect that you have to add triangles if you must. To me, it really doesn't matter what software you use. It's about knowing what subdivision modeling is all about. It's about knowing how to get around its limitations. Cheat if you must. I'm still learning. ![]() ![]() Still a work in progress... So many things to work on... Last edited by Sketchy; 17th June 2007 at 12:51. |
